Secondary Review of Research & Development of Quarterly Report
This project involved a secondary review of public opinion research studies conducted by or available to NRCan, and the design of a summary report. The purpose was to identify highlights and trends of relevance and interest to NRCan, and to develop the first edition of a POR report that could be issued quarterly by the department.
This was secondary research and did not involve any data collection. A set of approximately 50 research studies was reviewed; research on issues of relevance to the department: natural resources, the environment, forestry, energy, climate change, as well as some pan-governmental themes (government performance, priorities, etc.). The studies consisted of custom research commissioned by NRCan, syndicated studies purchased by NRCan, custom studies conducted by other federal government department and agencies, and studies that were publicly available. Following the review, a model report was developed.
